Saint Birgitta of Sweden

 (1302/3-1373): Righteous Reformer

“[I]f you do not improve your way of life, neither will you be king, nor will you live long.” A patron saint of Europe, this 14th century mystic founded the Birgittine nuns and monks who lived in joint communities. Married and the mother of eight, she went on pilgrimages to Spain, Rome, and the Holy Land.
