(1364- 1431?): Vocal Feminist

“You have committed a great error without reason.”

The first professional woman writer, this late 14th and early 15th century Italian-French woman fought misogyny in a famous public letter exchange. Later she writes The Book of the City of Ladies in which she envisions an allegorical city built and populated only by women.
